Tanzania open film festival is a commitment to film presentation as a way to examine, reflect, and celebrate diversity, while challenging existing stereotypes, and facilitating cultural dialogue.
A number of Bongo filmmakers are in attendance each year to talk to audiences about their work and the screenings are accompanied by a variety of complementary events such as discussions, master classes, seminars and music events.
Bongo Filmmakers and Movie stars travel with their films to present their work, engage in question and answer sessions, meaningful one-on-one discussions, panels, master classes, and workshops.

Films are showcased in an open space called Tangamano. Filmmakers connect with audiences and open doors to new ideas, stories, and perspectives.
